Howdy, rockabilly bass team, I am sending you a picture of my “Johannes Rubner” ¾ fully carved double bass wich was built in the former German Democratic Republic in 1980. Great tone, great playabillity, great slap, and unbeatable when played arco. The 1st and 2nd strings are “Thomastik Dominant” solo strings, the 3rd and 4th strings are “Thomastik Spirocore” solo strings. I play in a rockabilly trio in Germany called “Beware of the Cats”.
