Hello out there, this is me Rockingnick from LA, Bavaria and my big friend Dr.Faust.I play the Electric and Upright bass with my band the Bad Bones, doing straight rock covers for Bikers and Rocking Beerdrinkers. Beeing a dedicated Psychobilly fan i add some spice and beef to our Rock´n Roll bits with this upright which i built by myself i a year´s work. I carved out the top from a 5 inch vermouth-spruce board and the rim is laminated 3-ply Abachi and 2-ply Maple veneer. The Fist headstock was carved by my Dad and my Girlfriend did a great job coating the instrument in this great pale blue shellack coating. I play plain flatwound steel strings and use a Fishman piezo pickup along with the BII preamp. LONG LIVE ROK AND ROLL!
